At Body&Being, somatic therapy sessions are designed to cultivate a deep, primal trust in your own body wisdom. You are guided through embodied experiences that help increase awareness and regulate your nervous system.

In our sessions, you’ll learn personal skills for managing stress, solving daily problems, and enhancing your ability to cope with life’s challenges.

Our sessions often involve conscious movement, which is a dynamic form of meditation. Rather than maintaining stillness, you’ll engage in deliberate, intentional movement, tuning into your body’s wisdom and empowering your agency.

Our approach shifts from our default “top down” patterns of directing your body with your mind to a “bottom up” approach, allowing your body to guide you. Returning to this intuitive connection fosters a deeper understanding of your needs. We emphasize building trust with your body by tuning into its sensations and responding to internal cues. As you unwind the cellular body, you may uncover deep-seated patterns from your past, which we approach with curiosity and trust for profound insights. This practice aligns with Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, welcoming all aspects of your experience.
